Made it to hawaii!

Aloha!

So far so good.  It is like 7am and after 15 hours of travelling, I seem to be awake and ready to roll with the sun after 6 hrs of sleep.  Not bad.  I am staying at a dude named Georges house. He's a cool dude.  Full of information.  He drove me around for like an hour last night showing me some of Honolulu.  It was hard to see cause it was dark, but it was still very cool.  I am gonna just roam for a little while today, take some pictures, and enjoy the beach.  Not much more to it folks. Snaggin some free wifi, which was unexpected, so hopefully keep ya updated pretty frequently.  4 more days til Ilona will make her appearance.  And I will post a pic of george and me when I get one.

Peace, B

On the wet road again!

We are now on our way to new Orleans and fortunately to Fish's magical

on our trip leading to over a gallon of rain water pumped from the
back seat of the car. Woo hoo!

The King... And Almost the King. Video coming soon.

So it was pretty obvious that while visiting Memphis we would be surrounded by memories, and paraphernalia of "The King". And he was present anywhere and everywhere.
Including this restaurant, which did have very good food, yet he was not the most admirable Elvis. He seemed bored, and bothered by his job a little. But nether the less, passerbys continued to stop point and take pictures of the man.

Then there was a new contestant to be the king. Yup Mark The Shark. It was not the first time he stepped to the plate to out show ones strength. He was on fire, looking good folks, ready to out beat the last. 925 was the high, and he was making quick progress. Soon we knew he had a chance for the Title.

And the prize if he could pull off this victory was the woman of his choice. So he chose the whole Memphis Grizzlies Dance team. With this kind of backup support he knew he couldnt lose. A few swift swings later, and BAM 936 a high for the night. He could hear the crowd cheer, his arms were up in the air in excitement. And danced with every female he passed, jukin his way through the crowd. As long as his number would last another hour, the ladies would be all his. All he could do is sit and wait for the next contestent to be shone away by such a tough score to beat.

Without warning stepped up one of the BMF's.... You know. Big Motha.. you could figure out the rest. He wasn't expecting this move. Taking a step back, his fingers was anxiously tapping the table. Biting his lip the BMF took his stance, and practiced his swing. BAM. The numbers went flying up.... and landed just a few under Marks score. Mark was still the king. Until he came back about 2 minutes later, and conquered his score with a high of 945.
The Shark was determinded to get his ladies back with his incredible strength. Yet he could do nothing to muster up enough of it to take out such a BMF. And decided to call it quits before his arm fell off.
As his manager and promoter, not only was I dissappointed, I was pissed and had to show him what was up. And this is wassup up. Now what.

The life of a boxing machine heavy weight ex-champ...
If only he could have been THE KING.
FIN...

A bunch O Dudes!

The start of it all, We were a few hours on the road, when we needed some grubb. Left chicago at 5 am to beat traffic, and a few early wrong left turns and we were right where we were supposed to be, movin and groovin on the road again. Stopped at the infamous road trip stop. Cracker Barrel. Happened to run across this sign, in which we knew we needed to stop and take a pic. So here it is folks, the start of it all. We are shooting HD video, and I have problems converting the footage with the laptop, so all the video footage will be added later after the trip. Thanks for looking out. Peace, Brian

Temple.... of doom... not really... sounded good

Nightlife.

Yo Yo Yo... These are some pics from when me and Brian climbed to the top of the world, or at least to the top of Seoul. Seoul Tower is one of, if not the, highest point in Seoul with 360 panoramic views of the city. Definitely worth the visit for the views alone. The walk through the mountains to get there wasn't that bad either! Oh yeah.......

Goofin

Snow Day!

It Just so happens that Yesterday we strolled by this bridge to find some youngsters havin fun and slidin down on some plastic bags. Considering they were about 50 pounds, and there was just enough ice, it totally worked nice. Yet I dare give it a try as rugburn on the ass didn't sound appealing. But I did tell Carey that this had to be a bad ass spot when it really did snow.
And this is a picture from top the bridge yesterday.
And this is today. mmm. did you find waldo yet?
Needless to say, we woke up with a 9 inch snow fall, and the first thing we could think of doin in this unknown territory, was explore the bridge, where we knew there would be fun to be made. And so we did, the snow was untouched when we got there, so we preceded to make our own way with cardboard and manpower. Until it was smooth enough for us to glide down. And soon enough we were encountered by a bunch of lil o korean kids, on the same mission as us, to slide, glide, and fall on our ass in the cold white snow.

And these are the pix that Carey snapped of the enthusiastic Youngsters.

Jeremy Kicks ASS... Or a SoccerBall from Brian Barnhart Jr on Vimeo.

So, we went out to dinner last night and had some amazing food called Dak Galbi but one of the highlights was the craziness that when on afterwords. Jeremy had been telling us about this soccer game that he kick ass in so we took a walk to the arcade to see if he could live up to his word. It was a pretty amazing sight, there were dozens of people around watching this big American guys kick the shit out of this soccer ball, neon lights were flashing all around us, the cold didn't faze us...

Jeremy didn't quite live up to the expectations, though. He got beat by a skinny Korean teenager but put up a good fight. The kid had good form and Jeremy was relying on his brute strength. Good times had by all and it definitely was a sight to see!

Gettin Creative Wit It

Fucking around on the art museum grounds. Feels good to get creative with these guys . . .

Museum of Contemporary Art SK..

Wanted to keep a simple day, so we decided to check out the MCA Seoul. And what a good decision it was to do so. The initial vibe when walking in and seeing hundreds of screens stacked upon eachother was much more then eye candy. The walls were covered with thousands of small hand painted squares, covering hundreds of feet of wall.
This was just the start of it all, it happens to be the only place in which we were allowed to take pictures, so I did what i could. We ended up exploring the whole museum, spending a few hours enjoying and contemplating many pieces of wonderful art. One being the most interesting Sculpture I have ever seen, It was a man who had his arms stretched out as far as they could go. Maybe 13 feet long, like stretch armstrong, made of bronze. It reminded me of a character from a Shel Silverstein book. It really is a shame that no pictures could be taken, yet a picture would not do any of this work justice, and I am glad that I have added this experience to the memory bank.
